New Faces at Black Dyke

New Faces at Black Dyke

Black Dyke are delighted to welcome new faces into the Queensbury based band.

On Repiano is the young and extremely talented 17-year-old Adam Neild, a past principal cornet of the National Children’s Band, a member of the Junior School at the RNCM and Blue Coat School Oldham.

New Addition to our Collection

A new addition to our Heritage Collection was greatly received from one of our ex-players Sandy Blair. Sandy played with the band in 1984-6 on Eb Tuba and began collecting antique tubas as a hobby. Fortunately, Sandy discovered an old silver plate tuba with the inscription "John Foster & Sons Ltd Queensbury", restored it and has loaned the instrument to our Heritage Collection and is now displayed in the centre.
