This recording consists entirely of recent compositions by Philip Wilby and all are recorded here for the first time. The music seeks to present listeners with a harmonious musical balance based freely on the historic traditions of brass band repertoire. It contains four compositions; a specially commissioned test-piece, an instrumental solo, a hymn and a major work for band and choir.
