Take some time out from the hustle and bustle of all the Christmas preparations – from shopping and wrapping, to decorating and card writing – with this sparkling seasonal celebration. Join the Black Dyke Band and the Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus as they come together once again for an afternoon filled with carols for choir, audience singalongs and musical gems for the band. With her innate ability and genuine gift for communicating with audiences of all ages, award-winning broadcaster Josie d’Arby will guide us through all the festive favourites in this Christmas tradition like no other.

The programme includes time-honoured pieces such as O Holy Night, Carol of the Bells and The Lamb as well as the popular songs White Christmas and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. No Yorkshire celebration would be complete without a nod to the county’s extraordinary talent so takin pride of place is a carol by Barnsley composter, Arthur Godfrey, entitled Christmas Eve or ‘The Barnsley Carol’.
