BLACK DYKE BRASS FESTIVAL 2023

Gala Concert 3 pm

The world’s most famous brass band returns to Huddersfield Town Hall for a Gala Concert, featuring Black Dyke Band.

The Gala Concert features music for everyone including Elgar’s Pomp & Circumstance No 4, Black Dyke at the Movies and soloist showcase with the finale to the first half Respighi’s Pines of Rome.

The second half promises to be an international spectacular afternoon, featuring Black Dyke and the massed bands of Yorkshire Youth Band, Armthorpe Elmfield, Delph, Littleborough, Murley from Ireland, Tunanda from Australia. The second half will feature classics including Blaze Away, Trisch Trasch Polka, John Rutter’s For the Beauty of the earth, with the finale Fire in the Blood by Paul Lovatt-Cooper.
