Joining us for our Ripon Cathedral 1,350th celebrations are two world-class brass bands, who have kindly agreed to send proceeds for this concert to eight local charities.

About the Black Dyke Band

“The Black Dyke Band represents the very finest achievements of Brass Band playing. We continually strive to improve our musicianship and performances so that audiences around the world can enjoy the glorious tradition of Brass Band music. Despite a proud heritage traceable to the Victorian age, we always keep an eye to the future: encouraging new players, new music and new interpretations of old classics. We recognise and honour our past, but want to remain a contemporary musical ensemble committed to delivering the very highest quality musical experience for our listeners. They are joined by special guests, the Lake Wobegon Brass Band, who have travelled all the way from the United States of America.

Seating is unreserved. Carers go free if accompanying a paying individual.
