Course Description
Our intermediate course takes what you learnt in the Beginner’s course, helps you to improve on all the basic techniques, then adds some new ones. If you already have some playing experience on the Tenor Horn, then this might be a good place for you to start.
Siobhan Bates continues to guide you through a wide range of instrument techniques, whilst at the same time developing your musical understanding. New scales, including chromatic ones, are learnt as well as lots of different sharps and flats. Sight-reading, high notes and solo playing are all part this ten-video course designed to teach you new skills alongside improving the basics. By the end of the course you will be playing Grade 5 standard music, and your Tenor Horn abilities will have developed much further.
A new scale
Following on from Bb Major that we learnt in the Beginner series, lets add a flat, and learn Eb Major, with three flats. We also look at the short notes - quavers and semiquavers.
