Early example of a Black Dike Band uniform hat. Thought to be from 1865 and is similar to ones seen in the earliest known photograph of the band, dated to 1865. The inside is lined with cork and the outside is covered in a black to dark grey pin stripe fabric. A small brass badge is attached centrally at the rear.
