Donate to secure our Heritage

We are extremely proud of our long, illustrious history and the brass band musical heritage that the Black Dyke Band is a significant part of. Our ongoing aim is to secure that heritage and establish a musical legacy that can be appreciated not only today but by future generations.

To achieve this ,we established the Black Dyke Heritage Project. Our Heritage Centre is part of this project. We are constantly looking to improve the way in which we provide a visitor experience – through developing facilities and access to the Band’s historical memorabilia and artefacts. Achieving this requires significant funding.

Initially, the Centre was financed through a combination of funds provided by the Heritage Lottery and by the Black Dyke Band. However, Heritage Lottery funding ceased in July 2017 and we now rely solely on income we can generate ourselves. Having supporters make donations is one way of us raising that income.

We would be exceedingly grateful to receive donations to continue the development and upkeep of our collection. We are also looking to constantly update our displays, keep our building alive, and provide the best possible visitor experience – one which fits the quality of the music the Band has always been associated with producing.
