Membership of the Black Dyke Band only falls to a very few brass musicians. Such is the reputation and musical heritage of the band that many of our players have gone on to become performers with other internationally famous musical institutions, such as the London Symphony and Halle Orchestras.
All of our band members are incredible musicians in their own right. When they collaborate and come together as Black Dyke, they produce some of the finest brass band music available today – you can hear their work by listening to the band’s audio and video recordings found on this site.
From concerts and competitions to recordings and lessons, our band members make an invaluable contribution to the world of banding. Their musical virtuosity and professionalism cannot be overstated. The quality of their playing both as individuals, and as an ensemble, has often been unrivalled, as evidenced by the band’s numerous competition successes over the years.
By clicking on each Band member’s photo you can find out a little more about them, and we hope you enjoy discovering something about their own individual musical stories.
